Euthanasia is a topic that lots of people avoid but it’s really important to talk about it, so that as owners we know what to expect, and how to avoid our horse becoming stuck in the field which is extremely distressing for all involved.
It is much better for owners to be prepared, rather than being sprung upon them in a situation with the horse in pain or struggling to get up. If we have discussed it previously it gives the owner time to make their decision and plan for it.
