Loch Leven Equine Dental Clinics
Our new dental clinics take place at our clinic, based nr Kinross, (J5 of the M90 motorway) and are designed for horses requiring a routine dental examination and rasp, and reduce the need for a call out.
What is an Oroscope?
We are delighted to have expanded our dental resources and have recently purchased a new Oroscope.
The oroscope is a dental endoscope that provides high-quality, magnified live images of the horse’s mouth, allowing our vets to examine the oral cavity and the occlusal surface of the teeth.

It’s a vital piece of equipment for equine vets to identify and treat dental problems, such as:
- Tooth fractures
- Diastema (gaps between teeth)
- Periodontal disease
- Infundibular caries
- Soft tissue damage
- Dentinal defects
The new dental clinics will take place at the practice on the first Wednesday of the month, and cost just £80, including sedation and a free Oroscope.
This service is open to clients and non clients.
