Lara graduated from Edinburgh University in 2021, moving to to work in a mixed practice in the west of Scotland and a rotating internship in Equine Medicine and Surgery at the University of Glasgow.

Lara has a particular interest in poor performance, lameness and diagnostic imaging, and has a specialised interest in wound management. Lara is currently researching work-associated wounds in donkeys.

Outside of work Lara loves spending time with her dog, horse and cat and enjoys cooking and experimenting new recipes – although she says this is not always for the better!  

Lara is also interested in the use of clicker training which she has used with her own horse and enjoys using positive reinforcement and low stress techniques when working with worried patients.
