GEMMA PATTERSON
Equine Groom
Gemma started her love affair with horses at the age of seven years old, starting life in her local riding school before competing across the UK in the show ring.
On leaving school Gemma went to Bishop Burton College to explore Equine Business Management, which led to working in equestrian retail.
In 2011 she began working as a rider/groom for a Thoroughbred Stud which sparked her interest in the veterinary sector.
Gemma began working at Loch Leven Equine Practice in 2021 to pursue her passion and education in the veterinary workplace and loves the variety that her role brings.
She has a particular passion for horse care and takes an immense amount of pride in giving clients complete peace of mind that they will receive the same loving care as they do at home.
Outside of work Gemma loves spending time with her two boys, her family and friends, and her Westie Alfie. In her spare time she enjoys hacking her veteran ID X Connie, Sasha around the forestry, and volunteers as a coach for the RDA.
